Many radars have an ability to detect and track small objects like drone, missiles, mortals. But the challenge is to distinguish between the natural objects like birds, animals, and humans and manmade objects such as drones and vehicles. The Micro-Doppler echo feature analyses can be use efficiently for such discrimination. The paper presents the preliminary results of investigation on micro-Doppler analyses of the echo signals in DVB-T based passive radar performed for slow targets to distinguish drones from other targets. The theoretical analyses are illustrated by the field trials results showing that Passive Radar can not only detect and track drones and birds and other targets, but also identify them by analyzing micro-Doppler features of the echo.
