The locomotive working diagram is generally used to express locomotive routing in each section within 24 hours, which is compiled on the basis of train operation diagrams. In recent years, the drawing of the locomotive working diagram by computer has become a hot research topic. In this paper, based on the principle that locomotives of the same type are allowed to break the routing restrictions and run freely around different routings when they run in different sections, the problem of drawing a locomotive working diagram is translated into the multiple traveling salesman problem (MTSP), and the method of the array is used to achieve automatic drawing of the locomotive working diagram. Firstly, the coordinate system based on the decagonal coordinate system is established, then the train diagram is drawn in the coordinate system. The Array function is established with the arrival and departure time of the train as the element, the basic locomotive working diagram is drawn. Finally, the complete locomotive working diagram is obtained through modification. The results show that the number of locomotives used is the least in the locomotive working diagram compiled by this method, and the use of each locomotive is relatively balanced, which meets the requirements of optimization and balance of the locomotive working diagram. The research results provide theoretical support and application reference for computer drawing of the locomotive working diagram.
