A prescaled 10 GHz clock signal has been recovered from 40 Gbps time-division-multiplexed (TDM) optical signal using simple optical phase lock loop circuit. The proposed phase locked loop (PLL) circuit is based on four-wave-mixing in semiconductor optical amplifier and local-oscillator-free electronic feedback circuit.
