Although the current navigation systems significantly improved route planning, they are not able to capture the micro events on the roads that leads lane-level slowdowns. In this work we present an in-vehicle and cloud system that captures lane-level traffic flow using multiple vehicles' data, detects traffic jams and slowdowns in the cloud, and communicates this information back to the vehicles.
