The performance test of contaminated runway is an important part of the civil aircraft certification flight test. The most important content of the contaminated runway flight test is to obtain reliable contamination drag and to verify the accuracy or conservatism of the contamination drag model. Through the analysis of contaminated runway performance related regulation, and according to the contamination drag modelling methods in AMC 25.1591, we build the engineering model of contamination drag, including displacement drag model, friction drag model and impact drag model. The contamination drag model is mainly based on the ground speed, water depth, aerodynamic and aircraft design. We give the basic process for calculating displacement drag, friction drag and impact drag in schematic diagram. And we introduce the method to get the contamination drag from flight test data by the analysis of the normal acceleration changes with the aircraft in and out water pond. By compare the contamination drag from model and from flight test data, we find the contamination drag from model and contamination drag from flight test data matches well, so it can prove the rationality and accuracy of the contamination drag model.
