The prime motive of this proposed paper is to provide measures for the advancement of hilly highways. This research paper shows the control of streetlights which is automatic. As a result, it is much energy efficient from the traditional systems as it is equipped with the modern technologies. It provides a solution for saving energy resources, which is achieved by sensing an approaching vehicle with the help of IR sensors following that, the series of street lights starts glowing ahead of the vehicle with a high intensity. As the vehicle passes, the trailing lights starts dimming automatically. Thus, results in saving a lot of energy. If there are no vehicles on the highway, then all the lights will remain dim. Also, hilly terrains have curved roads which make them highly prone to accidents. In order to provide a solution to the problem, this paper also gives an accident protection system curve which alerts the driver coming from other end, this reduces the possibility of vehicle collision.
