Public transportation plays a vital role in our society, serving as a primary means of commuting for many. However, passengers often encounter inconveniences and difficulties during their journeys. It would be beneficial to address these issues to enhance the overall transportation experience. This paper aims to propose a solution to common problems faced by passengers when using public transportation. The project introduces the concept of "Know Your Bus," which utilizes sensors (Pressure and Proximity), a microcontroller (Arduino), and GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to provide a solution. Data from these sensors and GPS is transmitted to the microcontroller, which updates a database. This information is then made available to the public via a website accessible by passengers. "Know Your Bus" offers valuable insights such as the number of available seats and real-time status updates for buses, enabling passengers to make informed decisions when choosing their transportation options. Furthermore, the implementation of our concept not only improves the passenger experience but also contributes to more efficient and sustainable urban transportation systems. It presents a smart solution to the challenges faced when using public transport.
