The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) has put forth challenges, especially in distribution systems (DB), that include voltage and power loss concerns. To mitigate issues such as increased network losses and voltage profile degradation, EV charging station (EV C B) is integrated with a capacitor that provides the network's reactive power (RP) compensation. The EV C $B$ integrated with capacitance in the network will help improve the voltage level, minimize overall system losses, lower total energy costs, and subsequently lower interruption costs. In this study, the main objective focused is to maximize the benefit of energy loss reduction and expected interruption cost (EIC) reduction owing to the placement of capacitors in DB. Accordingly, Particle Swarm Optimization (P B 0) is employed in this study to identify optimal locations for EV C $B$ and capacitors within a DB. The IEEE-10 and IEEE-12 bus systems are tested to validate the suggested methodology. The outcomes obtained can be used for the optimal placement of EV C $B$ and Capacitor in DB.
