The manuscript suggests a novel adaptive coordinated control (ACC) for the development of solar-PV and battery-based intelligent microgrid (IMG). To achieve IMG operation, the proposed ACC algorithm offers better synchronization among the generation, grid, and battery power supply. In addition to that, a novel active detection technique (ADT) based shunt active power filter (SAPF) controller is proposed to control the power quality (PQ) from the harmonic load. Further, to extract optimal power and regulate the duty ratio of the inverter, a perturb and observe-based optimal power technique (OPT) is used. Moreover, a novel battery controller is proposed to offer excellent power management during the variation of load and generation. To test the significance of ACC-based IMG operation, the developed model results are compared with the conventional PQ control-based results and found improved results looking at the international standards.
