Quick battery drainage is a crucial issue in existing UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) based surveillance systems. The average active operating time of the network is reduced due to existing poor data routing mechanisms. This paper proposes an innovative multi-path load-sensing technique to deploy UAVs for surveillance. The research aims to improve the quality of data transmission methods and improve the efficiency and reliability of surveillance systems by exploiting the mobility and adaptability of UAVs. The proposed protocol intelligently distributes network traffic across multiple routes, considering the load of each path and, therefore, balancing the traffic load of the network. We further investigate the effectiveness of the protocol by extensive simulations or practical tests. It provides an improved UAV-based surveillance system that is more flexible and efficient for various applications such as security, emergency response, and the environment alignment of monitoring infrastructures, contributing to efficient and reliable monitoring solutions.
