In this paper, the Authors present a hybrid photovoltaic-diesel system control. The considered system is composed of a self exited induction generator (SEIG), a photovoltaic array (PV array) and a fuzzy supervisor associated to an isolated DC load. The diesel motor is used to drive the SEIG in order to feed an isolated DC load through a diode rectifier, LC-LC filter and a DC bus when the PV array power is insufficient. In this case the load is fed by both the SEIG and the photovoltaic panel. In the other case, when the PV array power is sufficient, the load receives the input power only from the photovoltaic array through a boost converter and a DC bus.
