We analyze stability of dispersion-managed (DM) solitons controlled by synchronous amplitude modulators. We show that the modulator can stabilize the energy of the DM soliton without simultaneous use of narrowband filters when the pulse energy is sufficiently large. We find that the modulators have to be inserted at locations where the pulse has negative chirp in order to stabilize its frequency and temporal time position.
