In blockchain-based wireless access sharing, the user equipment (UE) and base station (BS) make a connection contract by using blockchain technology. This enables UEs to temporarily utilize various BSs securely, including private BSs, without a centralized control station. However, the feasibility of such a system with connection establishment and contract authentication flows consistent with wireless standards has remained unclear. This paper describes an actual system for sharing blockchain-based wireless access among individuals with wireless LANs and shows its feasibility. It also evaluates our proposed accommodation control method in a real-world environment. It is found that this method can improve the median downlink throughput by a factor of 1.8 compared with not using it.
