This study examined the effects of different factors on CO2. We looked at Ahmedabad's emissions between 2021 and 2024. Factors such as vehicle types recorded CO2 emissions, fuel economy, traffic control effectiveness, energy consumption from renewable and fossil fuels, per capita energy consumption, and urban population increase. The data was analyzed using Multivariate Linear Regression, Fisher's Skewness test, and Jarque-Bara test for Kurtosis. The results show a significant negative correlation between CO2 emissions and the effectiveness of traffic management, suggesting that better traffic systems and less congestion may reduce emissions. The close association between rising CO2 emissions and urban population growth highlights the need for sustainable urban mobility systems. The use of clean energy in urban transit systems is encouraged by the finding that employing renewable energy in public transportation reduces emissions. There is a complex relationship between vehicle types and emissions, with different fuel types (such as gasoline, diesel, and electric) contributing differently to overall emissions. The primary sources of emissions in cities are traffic and vehicle energy use, making energy-efficient cars and eco-friendly modes of transportation essential.
