This paper explores the application of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) to wireless aeronautical communication, specifically Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B). NOMA has yet to be utilized in aeronautical communication, but with its ability to achieve multiple access with successive interference cancellation (SIC) of superposed signals, it can be said to show great potential in this field. This paper explores this unprecedented concept, making it unique. Furthermore, we investigate the potentials of NOMA for aeronautical communication and present simulation results that has led to the achievement of spectral efficiency.
