The construction of intelligent transportation system based on the Internet of Things can realize the automation of urban traffic management, and make traffic management more convenient and efficient. Aiming at the challenges faced by traffic management, this paper proposes a set of intelligent transportation system solutions based on Internet of Things technology. The results show that this solution makes full use of the perception recognition and network connection capabilities of the Internet of Things, and is deeply integrated with cutting-edge information technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Moreover, it supports the collaborative optimization of complex traffic through multi-source heterogeneous data analysis, thus successfully improving the efficiency of traffic prediction and accident risk assessment. In addition, the simulation results show that the system can effectively improve the efficiency of the road network, reduce congestion delays, and warn accident risks in advance, which is of great significance to promoting future smart travel.
