Autonomous cars are intelligent machines that can operate and move automatically without human control. It is capable of detecting and determining the surrounding environmental conditions, thereby making decisions to navigate to the destination in a stable and safe manner. This paper demonstrates that one of the important applications of image processing technology in autonomous cars is lane detection and tracking. The use of cameras enables the self-driving car to identify and analyze lane markings, thus adjusting its direction of movement to be appropriate and safe.
