The Triple Active Bridge (TAB) converter with a three-winding transformer can achieve bidirectional power flow between ports, provide high power density, and ensure current isolation, making it widely used. However, the inherent power cross-coupling among different ports poses difficulties and challenges for controller design. The conventional proportional-integral (PI) control may lead to steady-state oscillations and slow dynamic response. To mitigate these issues, this paper proposes a finite control set-model predictive control (FCS-MPC) method that eliminates the need for complex decoupling matrix design and can achieve good dynamic response. This strategy establishes a finite control set to directly predict the phase shift ratio, thereby achieving control of voltage and power distribution.
