To improve the Packet delivery ratio (PDR) in vehicular Ad Hoc network based on LoRaWAN using cluster-based multi-hop dissemination technique with location information and clustering in low traffic. Materials and Methods: Clustering of nodes with location aid in Vehicular Ad hoc Network is proposed to improve the PDR in low traffic scenarios. Based on the proximity of the nodes from the current node, nodes are clustered and a cluster head is selected for transmission which improves the reliability of the system. This research adopts a novel location aided routing approach of location aided routing for efficient communication. Sample size determined is 22 with actual power of 0.9642. Results: It is observed that proposed cluster-based multi-hop dissemination is 0.36% better when compared to conventional multi-hop dissemination in low traffic in terms of PDR. The statistical significance of two techniques observed is P < 0.001 in the independent sample T test. Conclusion: Results have confirmed that the proposed Cluster-based multi-hop dissemination in location aided vehicular ad hoc network based on LoRaWAN doesn’t show significance greater than 0.36% better PDR using the location information and clustering of nodes in low traffic.
