DASC is recognized as one of the leading international conferences in the field of digital avionics/aerospace technologies. The most recent conference (29th) was held at the Hilton Salt Lake City in downtown Salt Lake City, October 3–7,2010. The theme of this year's Digital Avionics Systems Conference (DASC) was Improving Our Environment through Green Avionics and ATM Solutions, and emphasized the use of “green” technology in all avionics/aerospace and related support systems. The DASC draws experts from across the globe for a five-day combination of professional education courses, technical presentations, as well as exhibits and special events. It has been co-sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Aerospace and Electronics Systems Society (AESS) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Digital Avionics Technical Committee (DATC) for more than two decades.
