In response to the need for the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the maritime search and rescue system and the intelligentization of search and rescue decisions, this article proposes a solution for using UAVs for maritime search and rescue through analysis of three aspects: UAV selection, communication technology, and mission payload. Based on this, an intelligent driven UAV maritime search and rescue decision support system architecture is designed, which can provide decision support for search and rescue personnel in terms of distress information processing, target search area determination, task resource allocation, and search path planning. Through the maritime search and rescue decision support system architecture in this article, the integration of UAVs into the maritime search and rescue system can enhance the autonomy and intelligence of maritime search and rescue, and provide support for the generation of UAV cluster search and rescue capabilities.
