In order to solve the problem of coupler forces between heavy-haul cars, a distributed scheme design is proposed. It essentially is a cooperative controller, which eliminates the coupling effect between front and rear cars, further transforming the braking problem of heavy-haul train into the braking problem for vehicle queues. Based on the design of this scheme, we solve the difficulty of decoupling the heavy-haul train model, and subsequently obtain results by numerical integration. Numerous numerical simulations utilizing the Matlab program are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed controller.
