This study entails a comprehensive investigation involving detailed mathematical analyses for the simulation of six cases employing the Unified Phase Shift (UPS) technique in a Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter at a 2.4 kW power level. The mathematical analyses closely align with the simulation results, providing robust insights into the operational characteristics of each case. Notably, two cases (1 and 4) exhibit significantly lower peak currents, suggesting potential efficiency improvements and reduced power losses. The optimization process, integrating the Karush- Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions, is employed to precisely determine optimal phase shift values. This research contributes not only to a thorough understanding of efficient operational parameters but also establishes a strong correlation between mathematical models and simulations, enhancing the applicability of DAB converters in real-world scenarios.
