To improve the communication capacity of aircraft and ensure flight safety, this paper carries out the research on aircraft monitoring information communication technology based on BeiDou 3 short message, for the problem of limitation of single communication capacity of BeiDou short message. Firstly, we study the text and image compression coding algorithm, and then we study the data sub-packet transmission method, and finally, we design the aircraft monitoring information communication platform and carry out the experimental test. The experimental results show that aircraft monitoring information can be transmitted by using BeiDou-3 short message to improve the communication efficiency between aircraft and command centre. The research results have important value for the use of BeiDou-3 short message.
