In today's context, the issue of women's safety in India has reached critical proportions, with women often feeling unsafe to venture out, particularly after dark, due to the prevalent threat of violence and physical or sexual abuse. This project addresses the need for enhancing women's safety by introducing a comprehensive safety and alert system incorporating a GSM/GPRS Modem, Arduino, Voice Module, and Buzzer. The system empowers women to identify and protect themselves when faced with dangerous situations. It offers two methods of activation: pressing a physical button or using voice commands. Upon activation, the system deploys a pepper spray for self-defence, triggers a loud buzzer to attract attention from nearby individuals, and simultaneously sends messages containing the victim's latitude and longitude coordinates to family members and friends through the GSM/GPRS modem. Furthermore, this project provides an additional layer of security. If a woman doesn't return home within an expected timeframe, her concerned parents can send a simple message asking, “WHERE ARE YOU?” The system promptly responds by transmitting the woman's precise location information via messages through the GSM/GPRS modem. This multifaceted approach not only enhances women's safety but also fosters a sense of security and support in their daily lives.
