In India, the escalating use of two-wheelers is contributing significantly to environmental pollution due to the reliance on internal combustion (IC) engine vehicles. To mitigate pollution and reduce fuel consumption, hybrid vehicles that utilize both IC engines and batteries have been developed. These vehicles typically rely on charging stations, leading to increased electricity costs for users. To address this issue, implementing hybrid and multiple charging methods can help lower electricity expenses and decrease carbon emissions. Utilizing solar energy for driving vehicles presents a viable solution to reduce pollution and meet energy demands. This paper proposes an innovative approach to automotive design, focusing on a vehicle powered by solar energy to tackle everyday challenges. A modified 65.5cc TVS Excel equipped with a hub motor and four 12V batteries provides backup power for the bike's operation. The integration of regenerative braking technology allows for battery recharging during braking, enhancing overall efficiency and reducing energy consumption. The hub motor offers a compact and efficient electric propulsion system, improving vehicle performance and minimizing maintenance needs. This proposed hybrid electric vehicle represents a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solution, particularly suited for urban environments.
