The purpose of this report is to provide a summary of findings and recommendations resulting from running certain contractor logistics support (CLS) data through the computer aided spares evaluation and reporting (CASPER) software package. The data represented the producer's investment spares recommendations for selected training devices which comprised a part of an Air Force aircrew training system (ATS) in the acquisition cycle. The CASPER software was developed to provide ILS managers with the capability to evaluate the recommended spares posture being presented by the training device producer/supporter under the CLS concept. In the subject case, the government was in the first phase of procuring a number of devices to support a multi-user application. It was a very complex program which involved training device suites for several weapon systems.<>
