This paper proposes a hybrid four-segment-mode model predictive control (MPC) strategy. Inverter1 (INV1) adopts the fast voltage vector (VV) selection method to select one non-zero active VV in each control period, and then a proposed four-segment-mode control strategy is applied to inverter2 (INV2). In this strategy, the zero VVs $u^{\prime}7$ and $u^{\prime}0$ are alternated at the beginning and end of each period, and two active VVs are applied to the middle of the control period with minimal switching action, and a fixed switching frequency of half the control frequency can be achieved in INV2. Furthermore, an optimized duration allocation is applied to the two zero VVs to suppress the zero sequence current (ZSC) of control system according to the principle of 0-axis current deadbeat control.
