Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), acting as the neural network of an aircraft, extensively connects and supports various onboard systems, with its performance directly impacting the stable operation and safety of the aircraft. EWIS products are numerous and distributed across key areas of the aircraft, making the assurance of their maintainability and reliability a critical consideration in the design process. This paper closely follows aircraft engineering practices, elucidating the maintainability design principles and assessment strategies for EWIS. Through specific examples, it briefly analyzes the optimization schemes for accessibility design and methods for maintenance safety assessment, providing a comprehensive framework with practical guidance and reference for EWIS design, thereby enhancing both maintenance efficiency and operational safety of the aircraft.
