The project includes the following items of work: extend runway 13/31 (960' x 150') to the northwest with associated taxiway; extend runway 6-24 (1440' x 150') to the southwest with associated taxiway; overlay existing runway 13-31 (5000' x 150') including associated taxiway; re-construct taxiway segment more distant from runway 6-24; expand terminal apron; extend storm sewer line from existing minehole sump to airport boundary; acquire clear zone land including four houses. It is not anticipated that these improvements will result in changes to, or cause any significant impact upon, existing human or natural environmental conditions. The unavoidable, probable, adverse environmental effects are minimal. The only possible adverse environmental effect would be an increase in noise. (Author)
