A mathematical model which describes the transient thrust chamber pressure profile of an idealized Electrothermal Hydrazine Thruster (EHT) was developed. The model predicts the minimum pressure rise and decay times obtainable from pulsed thruster operation. Predicted and experimentally measured performance of a prototype EHT are compared, and it is shown that the simplified model provides a useful measure against which a thruster's experimental pulsed performance can be judged. Suggestions to improve experimental performance are made.
