The report discusses application of reliability systems by expanding 'data base' of small fleet operators, i.e., Concorde, Airbus and DC-9 by pooling 'experience' across corporate lines. Positive fall out of reliability systems is the necessity to 'manage'. Reliability systems systemize the 'measure', 'analyze', and 'repair' loop. Decreased dependence upon diagnostic and correction capability of individuals or single operators is noted. Wider use of reliability systems in the future will reduce 'cockpit workload' associated with operational status of equipment. (Author)
