This lectures series explores the relations between environmental corrosivity and corrosion problems in military systems. Four management strategies are discussed in terms of current and optimum practice, as well as foreseeable improvements in the remainder of the 20th Century: Protective coating selection; Design of vehicles; Determination of manufacture and maintenance specifications for aircraft; and The special problems of marine environments.
