American and Soviet space experiments are compared. The Americans at first lagged behind the Soviet Union in space experiments, but with the Soviet lead the Americans began intensive crash programs to catch up to the Soviets and surpass them. Some American experiments have not been duplicated by the Soviets, but the Soviets still maintain an overall lead. The Soviet secrecy of space and rockets is judged to be a weakness rather than a strength. Possible moon landings and extremely stupendous space projects are discussed. The second era of the Space Age will end with a moon landing as the first era ended with a man in space. (Author)
