The Symposium consisted of six sessions: the first, general and introductory, tended to cover broad knowledge and technology; the second and third sessions were primarily devoted to airframe structures and considerations; the fourth and fifth sessions were primarily concerned with propulsion applications; and the sixth session dealt with a general analysis and retrospective summary of the total Symposium. Discussions have been summarized at the end of each Section. Every effort was made to insure, within the limits of available time, a comprehensive program covering the many aspects of composite materials (property, fabrication, behavior, design, etc.), truly representative of the many NATO countries active in this field.
