This report, conducted by Woolpert International, Inc., was funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The study addresses the concerns of the Sao Paulo State Aviation Department involving the technical, economic and financial feasibility of the development of the Ribeirao Preto Airport. The existing airport and the adjacent infrastructure were evaluated. The potential for new and expanded airside and land side facilities were determined. The report also identified operational needs associated with the project as well as options for financing. The report consists of the following. (1) Review of Existing Data and Facilities; (2) Provide a Forecast of Demand for Passengers and Cargo; (3) Development of Facility Requirements; (4) Determine the Environmental Impacts of the Project; (5) Develop Capital Costs and Investment Requirements; (6) Development of Economic and Financial Viability of Private Sector Participation; (7) Development of Privatization Models.
