Results are summarized of sixteen borings made in Section K008 for the planned storage yard of Vienna Route in Falls Church, Virginia of the Washington Metropolitan Area Metro system. The investigation was made to determine subsurface conditions at the locations of trackage, crossing structures and buildings for the planned yard. The report contains a series of geological sections through the borings, logs of the borings, results of laboratory tests on soil samples, conclusions regarding subsoil properties and a summary of anticipated design and construction problems.
