The project begins at a point on the Anchorage Fairbanks highway south of Willow, Alaska. It proceeds in a southerly direction for 1 1/2 miles to where it merges with a previously constructed roadway in the Nancy Lake recreation area. The purpose of the project is to provide safe and efficient highway access to the Nancy Lake recreation area, currently under development. The negative impact lies mainly in removal of the native vegetation in the immediate area of the roadway.
