When transporting goods, the punctuality of their delivery is becoming increasingly important in today's business logistics. High levels of delivery reliability can only be achieved by valid planning models for the prediction of trip durations. The thesis concentrates on the feedback of trip data which are used to update the planning model. It also presents the application of trip execution simulation to assess the effects of changes in the transportation process. Both may contribute to improve the punctuality.
