Because of its location in the center of a vast and elaborate transportation network in the meadowlands near the heart of the Tri-State Region, Newark Airport is near many rail lines and connects to many highway routes. The report considers an array of combinations that would connect downtown Newark to the new airport terminal by much improved rail and bus service. Of these, eight are selected as the most reasonable alternatives for deeper study. These eight alternatives are described. (Author)
