Use of the generalized Six-Degree-of-Freedom computer program (SDFCP) is described. With the program, vehicle performance throughout the entire flight regime of speed and altitude in the atmosphere and gravity field of a nonspherical rotating planet using six degrees of freedom may be computed. Various degrees of problem refinement may be analyzed. Flight control systems and flight programmer simulation, and onboard rotating machinery may be represented. Other features of the program include: (1) A reverse program option for aerodynamic analysis of flight test data; and (2) A method of computing aerodynamic derivatives. (Author)
