A method is described for simulating the flight of an aircraft over the earth's surface in a flight training apparatus. This method is based on moving the picture of the landscape over the surface of a screen in the training apparatus. To increase the effect of simulation, the glazing of the aircraft cabin lantern is projected onto and moved over the landscape picture. The projected light is moved in a direction opposite to the motion of the picture on the screen. (Author)
