The problem of determining minimum and maximum endurance trajectories for subsonic gliding flight in a horizontal plane is considered. These trajectories are of interest for the low-level flight of remotely piloted vehicles (RPV). Trajectories with maximum endurance are of interest if the vehicle is to be used for surveillance. Also, these two types of trajectories define the endurance limits of the vehicle for flight in a horizontal plane. (13 figures, 2 tables).
