The proposed highway project is located in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, on Highway 78 between the villages of Gratiot and Argyle. The purpose of the project is to construct a modern highway by improving the vision, drainage, ridability and safety. The removal of some 71 acres from productivity is the principal adverse effect to the environment. Stream disruption and slope erosion will be held to a minimum.
