The program was conducted to determine time-temperature histories of pertinent fuel system and other relevant automotive components during three specified 24 hour passenger car use patterns and one non-use pattern. The work was conducted on 80 cars in metropolitan Los Angeles during the peak ambient temperature period of late summer and early fall of 1968. The sixty 1965-1968 and twenty 1959-64 cars incorporated fuel system and other engineering feature variations that could influence fuel system temperatures. The report contains the results, analyses, and discussion of the measured field data. (Author)
