The goal of the ongoing, 20-year long-term pavement performance (LTPP) studies is to give State and Provincial transportation departments- the owners and customers of the LTPP program-the information and tools they need to build and maintain longer-lasting pavements. The Roadmap charts a course to the program's near-term and longer term destinations, which are based on the products needed by State and Provincial highway agencies today. The Roadmap was developed with input from all of the partners, which include State and Provincial highway agencies, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the Transportation Research Board, industry, academia, and FHWA. The LTPP program is a dynamic process; as needs and priorities shift, the Roadmap and data analysis plan will be adjusted accordingly.
