This report describes the development and application of a prototype methodology for predicting national passenger travel demands. It specifically takes account of competition among four modes: air, rail, bus and auto. Forecasts are prepared for the years 1975, 1980 and 1990. Interpretation and use of these forecasts should be considered within the exploratory context of the study. (Author)
