The objectives of NASA's Space Station Human Productivity Program are examined. The design and functions of the Space Station are described. The effects of the interior architecture, crew support, crew activities, intravehicular activity (IVA) systems, and extravehicular/IVA interfaces on the productivity of the Space Station are investigated. It is estimated that crew productivity should be sustained for a 90-day tour at levels above 90 percent of the initial mission performance level.
