The objective of this study was to test the feasibility of using the Advanced Simulator for Pilot Training (ASPT) in training pilots for combat in a simulated hostile environment. A statistical analysis of the results was made in order to evaluate the extent and kind of learning which took place. The results indicate that combat-ready pilots exhibit a clear learning of offensive and defensive tactics and a favorable response to such training.
