The high competitiveness makes the quest for production cost reduction a constant in the market, but it is necessary to reduce costs without compromising quality. When a product is in the manufacturing and this has to be scraped, we have more cost than the raw material used it is necessary consider the manpower and operations, thus to calculate the cost added to the product. The factory ignores the real waste when considering only the raw materials costs, taking a burden not counted, preventing the view of this and thus their reduction. This work proposes a new tool to control these costs on shop floor, here called Cost of Not Quality, which considering the raw material and operations that added cost in the product. An autonomous cumulative cost control daily on the shop floor. The work was started with the percentage distribution to each area can scrapped based on monthly expected sales, thus the cost follow available market fluctuations. The scrapped material costs are provided in a diagram showing the cumulative total cost daily, a visual management tool that will be available on the shop floor being controlled and charged by members of the team, the inspectors and machine operators.
